Gwalior set an example by constructing airport in 16 months: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that by completing the construction of the new terminal building of Gwalior Airport in 16 months, Gwalior has set an example of fast-paced work in the country, it is a symbol of the fast-paced development in the country. Our government is working day and night to make the lives of all the families of the country easier. We are committed to making air travel more convenient and accessible for the common man. Air services are expanding to small cities, this will boost industrial and business activities. Prime Minister Modi was virtually addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of various projects of the country from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the new terminal building of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Gwalior Airport through video conferencing. Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 14 other airport projects of the country costing Rs 9 thousand 811 crore.

In the programme organised at Gwalior Airport, Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Aidal Singh Kanshana were present. In the programme, the grand statue of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia was unveiled and floral tributes were offered. After the national anthem, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and honouring the saints.

Workers will be given assistance to purchase e-scooter

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released an amount of Rs 678 crore in the accounts of 30 thousand 551 labor families with a single click under the Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan Sambal Yojana 2.0 in the programme at Gwalior Airport. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced to hike the assistance of Rs 1 lakh to workers on the basis of disability and death to Rs 4 lakh. He said that our government is with the workers in their every need. Workers will be given assistance of Rs 40 thousand to buy e-scooters. In the programme,

Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the changing India of the new era is achieving new milestones of development. Prime Minister Modi is trying to make air services accessible to anyone wearing slippers.

Dr. Yadav said that the Scindia family has been dedicated to the development of Ujjain including Gwalior-Chambal.

Dedication of 15 airports is historic: Scindia

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the simultaneous dedication and foundation stone laying of 15 airports by Prime Minister Modi has made today a historic day in the field of Indian aviation. The completion and dedication of Gwalior airport in just 16 months is also a historic achievement. This is a direct evidence of Prime Minister Modi’s commitment and priority towards regional aspirations. These aviation projects have opened a new chapter in passenger accessibility. These projects will not only connect every corner of the country but will also help in developing all parts of the country.

There will now be 10 airports in the state

Union Minister Scindia said that air service is being expanded in the country as well as the state. Air connectivity of Gwalior has been ensured with major cities of the country. Gwalior Airport has been expanded on 144 acres of land. This is the largest airport of Madhya Pradesh. An airport of one lakh square feet is being inaugurated in Jabalpur. Airports are also going to be built in Rewa, Satna and Datia in the state. Along with this, air service will also be expanded in Ujjain, Guna and Shivpuri. Now 10 airports will be built in the state. Now one thousand planes are flying in the state every week.
