Heavy rain affects train services in Kerala

Palakkad, July 30 (UNI)Heavy rains and waterlogging in the Wadakancheri and Vallathol Nagar railway stretch in Thrissur district, have affected the train services forcing the Railway authorities to short terminate, reschedule, detain, and cancel several trains on Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Railway authorities also changed the origination of several trains.

Several train services were stopped at various stations. The 16305 Ernakulam – Kannur Express which will commence on, July 30 will be short terminated at Thrissur. Service of the train will be cancelled between Thrissur and Kannur.

The 16791 Palaruvi Express will be short-terminated at Aluva. Service of this train will be canceled between Aluva and Palakkad Junction.

The 16302 Venad Express will be short-terminated at Chalakudi. Service of this train will be canceled between Chalakudi and Shoranur Junction.

The 12076 Jan Shatabdi Express will be short-terminated at Ernakulam Junction. Service of this train will be canceled between Ernakulam Junction and Kozhikode.

The 12081 Kannur – Thiruvananthapuram Central Jan Shatabdi Express will be short-terminated at Shoranur Junction. Service of this train will be canceled between Shoranur Junction and Thiruvananthapuram Central.

The 16308 Kannur – Alappuzha Executive Express will be short terminated at Shoranur Junction. Service of this train will be canceled between Shoranur Junction and Alappuzha.

The 16649 Mangaluru Central – Kanyakumari Parasuram Express will be short-terminated at Shoranur Junction. Service of this train will be canceled between Shoranur Junction and Kanyakumari.

The 16326 Kottayam – Nilambur Road Intercity Express will be short-terminated at Angamali. Service of this train will be canceled between Angamali and Nilambur Road.
