New Delhi, (UNI) The Congress on Monday said that it hoped the government will take the Leader of Opposition in both the Houses and other political parties into confidence on the ‘worsening’ India-Canada relations.
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh on X said, “The Indian National Congress certainly hopes and expects that Prime Minister @narendramodi will take the Leader of Opposition in both Houses of Parliament and the leaders of other political parties into confidence immediately on the extremely sensitive and delicate issue of worsening India-Canada relations.”
It may be mentioned that India has decided to withdraw its High Commissioner and other targeted diplomats and officials from Canada.
Moreover, India expelled six Canadian diplomats, including the Acting and Deputy High Commissioners.
