- CEO seeks information from sector officers
Bhopal: How many polling booths did you inspect? Where are you now? Why is your car standing for half an hour? Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan sought information from the State Control Room in a direct talk with the Sector Officers. He said that sector officers should continuously visit polling booths and take stock of the arrangements.
Shri Rajan spoke to sector officers of various assembly constituencies including Katni, Narsinghpur, Chhatarpur and Narmadapuram districts. Sector Officer of Narsinghpur Assembly Constituency Shri Puneet said that he had visited 5 polling stations. Voters were standing in queues at polling stations. Voting is going on peacefully. He observed the ongoing voting process in various polling stations through a webcam and gave necessary instructions to the concerned district election officers.
101 candidates filed nominations in fourth phase
CEO Rajan has said that as per the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the fourth phase has been completed. In the fourth phase, a total of 154 nomination papers have been filed by 101 candidates.
Rajan has said that candidates who have filed the nomination papers will be able to withdraw their names till Monday, April 29. Voting for the fourth phase will take place on Monday, May 13. Counting of votes in all phases will take place on Tuesday, June 4.
