HP: CM Sukhu falls ill, cancels all official engagements

Shimla, Feb 11 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has developed a viral infection on Tuesday, following which he cancelled all his engagements scheduled for the day.

As a result, today’s scheduled public meeting, “Janata Darbar,” has also been called off, depriving citizens of the opportunity to meet him.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Sukhu is currently resting at his official residence, Oak Over, where a team of doctors is regularly monitoring his health. Doctors have advised him to take complete rest to ensure a swift recovery. Due to his condition, he will not be attending the office at the state secretariat either.

A senior state government officer confirmed the development, stating that the Chief minister’s health is stable and there is no cause for concern. Meanwhile, people from various parts of Himachal Pradesh are extending their wishes for his speedy recovery.

Despite attempts to reach a health officer for a comment, no response has been received so far. However, security officials of the chief minister have assured that he is out of danger.
