New Delhi, Mar 22 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah here and urged the release of the compensation amount for the damages caused by natural disaster.
On his social media handle X ,Sukhu said, “Met Union Home Minister @AmitShah in New Delhi today”.
“Discussed with the Home Minister about the release of compensation for the huge losses the state has incurred due to the severe natural disaster during the 2023 monsoon,” the Himachal CM said.
He said, “Further, he was apprised that the disaster had caused extensive damage to drinking water system, irrigation projects, infrastructure, roads and bridges”.
“Apart from this, various issues related to the state’s interest were also discussed. The Home Minister assured to provide all possible help to the state,” he said.
