Bhopal: The effect of winter is in full swing in Madhya Pradesh, now it is becoming very cold during the day as well as at night. The maximum effect of cold during the day was seen in Tikamgarh, Malajkhand and Balagha of the state, where the maximum temperature was recorded below 22 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, there is an effect of cold in the state due to the icy winds coming from North India. In many districts of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, the night temperature has dropped by 3 to 4 degrees, while shivering winds are blowing during the day also.
Cold wave due to clouds
According to meteorologist Dr. Vedprakash Singh, Western Disturbance is active around Afghanistan and Iran, due to which the effect of cold continues in the state. In many districts of the state the minimum temperature is falling below 10 degrees. According to meteorologists, there is no possibility of rain in the state for the next 5 to 7 days, but from December 25 onwards the cold will increase further.
Temp dipped in these cities
Among the five major cities of Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior is most affected by cold. The maximum temperature in Gwalior was recorded at 22.6 degrees, while the minimum was 6.5 degrees. Similarly, in Bhopal the maximum temperature was 25.8, minimum 10.1, in Indore maximum 24.4, minimum 12.4, in Jabalpur maximum 23.7 and minimum 8.3 and in Ujjain the maximum mercury was 25.2, while the minimum was 11.5 degrees.
