New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) Urging people to vote for the INDIA bloc candidate during the Lok Sabha election in the national capital on 25th May, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged on Wednesday that if people vote for the BJP, he would go to jail again.
Addressing the gathering while holding a roadshow here to garner support for the INDIA bloc candidate from Chandni Chowk Jai Prakash Agarwal, Kejriwal asserted, “I am a small person and I own a small party. I wonder why these people (BJP) have put me in jail, what mistake did I make.”
They are big people, so why would they put me in jail, he questioned sarcastically, stating, “My only mistake is that I have provided free electricity, good education, free medicines and healthcare facilities to the people of Delhi.”
He further alleged, “These people (BJP) have not even provided me insulin injections when I was in Tihar Jail as I am a sugar patient for 20 years now. I don’t know what these people want from me. They tried everything to break me but because of Lord Hanuman’s blessings I did not break.”
“If you press the lotus button on 25th May then I have to go to jail again but If you cast vote for the INDIA bloc candidate then I won’t have to go to jail,” Kejriwal said, while asking for people to vote for INDIA bloc.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Praveen Khandelwal from the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat in Delhi.
