- Kaipan Pan Products Ltd Under Scrutiny for Tax Fraud, Previous Investigations Conducted
Bhopal: In a fresh crackdown, the Income Tax Department has launched a survey on a Pan Masala company in Bhopal for tax evasion. The company, Kaipan Pan Products Ltd, located in the Govindpura industrial area, is involved in the production of Rajshri Gutka and other pan masala products. Authorities suspect the company has been hiding its income by manipulating invoices.
The factory, located at Sector-D, 11B in Govindpura, is operated by Vaibhav Pandey and Sheikh Mohammad Arif. On Tuesday afternoon, an Income Tax team arrived at the facility to conduct an extensive investigation. The operators are accused of using fraudulent invoices to conceal revenue, prompting the department to examine the company’s financial records and documents.
This is not the first time the company has faced scrutiny. Five years ago, the Food and Safety Administration had investigated the company for producing adulterated Rajshri Gutka and other products, leading to the issuance of notices to the operators.
The ongoing investigation highlights the authorities’ continued efforts to clamp down on tax fraud in the region and ensure accountability for businesses evading taxes.
