New Delhi, Feb 4 (UNI) The Indian Embassy in Libya has facilitated the return to the country of 18 stranded Indian nationals from Benghazi, Libya.
The MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a post on X, that the 18 Indians will be arriving to the country tomorrow.
“They had gone to work in Libya and had been stranded for several weeks. The Embassy worked closely with the local authorities and assisted the Indian workers with required authorization and travel documents.
“While their case was being looked into, the Embassy remained in constant touch with them to ensure their well-being, assisting them with articles of daily living.
“Three other Indian nationals from the same group, assisted by the Embassy, had returned to India last October.
“Thank the Libyan authorities for their support and cooperation.
“The Government of India remains committed to the welfare and safety of all Indians abroad.”
