Bhopal: Under the state government’s fourth mission, Nari Kalyan Mission (Women’s Welfare Mission), significant financial provisions have been made to uplift and empower women. A total of Rs 26,797 crore has been allocated for various initiatives under this mission. As part of these efforts, an integrated infrastructure plan will be introduced to enhance the quality of health and Anganwadi services at the grassroots level.
The new initiative aims to improve the delivery of services, ensure effective monitoring, and provide beneficiaries with access to multiple services at a single location. The plan will focus on constructing combined buildings for Sub Health Centers and Anganwadi Centers, offering a more efficient and cohesive service model.
Additionally, under the Poshan 2.0 scheme, 24,662 Anganwadi centers will be upgraded to ’empowered Anganwadi Centers’ to better serve the nutritional and developmental needs of children and mothers. An allocation of ?223 crore has been set aside for this development, ensuring a significant improvement in the quality of services provided.
This comprehensive approach reflects the government’s commitment to improving the health, well-being, and empowerment of women and children across the state, laying the foundation for a more sustainable and inclusive future.
