Israeli army claims interception of missile launched from Yemen

Jerusalem, Dec 31 (UNI) The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that a missile launched from Yemen had been intercepted outside Israeli territory.

Earlier, a Sputnik correspondent reported that air raid sirens had sounded in central Israel, including Ramla. The IDF reported that a missile was launched from Yemen.

“Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in Central Israel, a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted by the IAF prior to crossing into Israeli territory,” the Israeli army said on Telegram.

As noted, the sirens were turned on due to the risk of falling shrapnel.
