Jal Ganga Abhiyan got immense public support: CM

  • Dr. Yadav administered oath to conserve water sources

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while wishing the people of the state on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra festival, said that this is the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra. It was decided by the Madhya Pradesh government that from Environment Day 5 June to Ganga Dussehra, the work of conservation and promotion of our historical heritage Chopra Bawdis along with our water sources like rivers, wells, ponds, lakes, waterfalls etc. will be done. I am happy to inform that Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan has been successful. More than 6 lakh people have participated in the campaign. Works worth more than Rs 4000 crore are being done for the conservation of water sources.

Dr. Yadav was addressing the program organized at the archaeological heritage Modi Ka Chopra in Ujjain today under the Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav administered oath to everyone to conserve and promote water sources. Gave the message of environmental conservation by planting saplings.

Dr. Yadav visited Modi Ka Chopra water source and directed the district administration to protect this historical heritage and maintain it better. He said that Modi Ka Chopra is a part of Govardhan Sagar. Its specialty is that there is always an uninterrupted supply of water here. It is noteworthy that the district administration has rejuvenated the water source Modi Ka Chopra under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan.
