Jan Suraj declares candidates for by-elections to Imamganj and Belaganj Assembly seats

Patna, Oct 19 (UNI) Newly floated political party ” Jan Suraj ” on Saturday announced candidates for by -elections to Belaganj and Imamganj Assembly seats on November 13.

Prashant Kishor, popularly known as PK and founder of “Jan Suraj ” declared the names of candidates of his party for Belaganj and Imamganj Assembly seats. Khilafat Hussain, a renowned educationist and Mathematician would be the candidate for Belaganj while Dr Jeetendra Paswan would be the candidate for the Imamganj seat, he declared.

” While Hussain was Head of the Department of Mathematics in Mirja Ghalib College, Dr Jeetendra Paswan is a renowned Doctor famous for treating patients at a meager cost”, Kishor said adding that he had always been making promises to field genuine persons and not based on their winning prospects. If the selection of candidates was good, people would naturally support them, he pointed out.

General S K Singh, former Vice Chief of Armed Staff was earlier declared a candidate for the Tarari seat.

Process for by-elections of four seats– Belaganj, Tarari, Imamganj, and Ramgarh had already been set in motion.

Polling would be held on November 13 while results would be declared on November 23. The by-election was necessitated after sitting MLAs of these constituencies were elected to Lok Sabha recently.
