Kamlesh Shah files nomination from Amarwara

Bhopal: Kamlesh Shah, the BJP candidate for the Amarwara Assembly seat in Chhindwara district, submitted his nomination papers for the upcoming by-election on Tuesday.

CM Mohan Yadav, state BJP president VD Sharma, newly elected Chhindwara MP Vivek Bunti Sahu, and Monica Shah Batti were in attendance. The by-election in Amarwara was triggered by Congress MLA Kamlesh Shah’s switch to the BJP during the 2024 Lok Sabha election campaign.

The Congress party is yet to finalize its candidate for Amarwada, with several potential names under consideration. Despite rainfall disrupting the BJP’s plans for a major public gathering with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in Amarwada, the event will be rescheduled after the completion of Kamlesh Shah’s nomination process.
