Chandigarh, Jun 10 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, on Monday, breaking his silence over the slapping incident, said that Kangna Ranaut’s terrorism remark was wrong.
A CISF jawan Kulwinder Kaur had allegedly slapped actor and MP Ranaut at Chandigarh Airport last week over her old derogatory remarks about protesting farmers. After the incident, Ranaut, in a video statement said that she was concerned about rising Terrorism and Extremism in Punjab and it needs to be addressed.
Speaking to the media, Mann said that Kaur was upset over Ranaut’s old remarks, so she might have reacted this way, but it should not have happened.
He said at the same time Ranaut’s terrorism remark was also wrong.
“She is a public figure and it was wrong on her part to paint the entire Punjab as a terrorist state,” Mann said.
He said Punjab’s farmers feed the Nation and its Soldiers protect the country’s borders.
