Kejriwal files nomination from New Delhi assembly seat

New Delhi, Jan 15 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday filed his nomination from the New Delhi Assembly seat.

After filing his nomination, Kejriwal urged people to vote for a party that works, stating, “On one side is a party that works, and on the other is a party that only abuses. We are contesting elections based on our 10 years of work and what we aim to do in the next five years.”

Addressing the media before heading to file his nomination, Kejriwal said, “I am going to file my nomination from the New Delhi Assembly seat. Mothers and sisters from all corners of Delhi have gathered here. They will accompany me to the nomination filing. I request everyone to send their blessings and good wishes from wherever they are so that we can secure another historic victory this time.”

Kejriwal then walked to the District Magistrate’s office to complete the nomination process.

Voting for all 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly will take place in a single phase on 5th February, while the counting of votes is scheduled for 8th February.
