Dhaka, Aug 7 (UNI) Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia, freed from house arrest after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina as Prime Minister, has received her renewed passport, media reports said on Wednesday.
“Last night, the personal secretary of the BNP chairperson, ABM Abdus Sattar, received the passport on her behalf,” said Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP’s media cell, reported the Daily Star.
According to reports, Khaleda Zia is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in the capital.
Former PM Zia, who was under house arrest for five years, was released on Tuesday after the President granted her pardon.
