Kidney patients will get 24 hour dialysis facility in AIIMS

  • Apex Pediatric Center will be built with Rs 96 crore
  • After getting 04 dialysis machines, total number will be 12
  • After increasing 70 beds, total number of beds will become 230

Kidney and heart patients will soon get 24 hour treatment in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal. Four more dialysis machines will be installed for kidney patients. Apart from this, all the diseases of children will be treated under one roof i.e. in Apex Pediatric Center. An MRI machine will also be set up soon.

This information was given by Dr. Ajay Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, in a press conference on Monday. He said that a central OPD block is being prepared to provide many facilities to the patients. A budget of 80 crores for OPD block and 96 crores for Apex Pediatric Center has been passed from the center. Due to which all the patients from children to OPD will get better treatment facilities. Patients will also get the facility of Cath Lab round the clock.

Executive Director Dr. Singh said that we had eight dialysis machines, four more machines will come, which will increase the number of dialysis machines to 12. Due to this, dialysis of kidney patients can be done 24 hours. Earlier this facility used to be available for 8 hours. Apart from this, an MRI machine will also be brought on PPP mode, which will give relief to patients from long waiting for MRI. Dr. Singh said that in view of the increasing number of patients, 70 more beds are being added in the critical unit, which will increase the number of beds to 230.

Dr. Rashmi Verma shows humanity

Director Dr. Singh said that Dr. Rashmi Verma saw a patient lying in a critical condition in the AIIMS campus, there was a lot of foul smell coming from the body of this patient, but Dr. Rashmi showed humanity and got the said patient cleaned and admitted to the hospital. Dr. Rashmi said that the said patient had no family members or caretakers. Meanwhile, Director Dr. Singh said that the said patient will be given complete treatment by the hospital.
