“Kila Bandi” Ticket Checking at Bhopal Station

  • 287 Passengers Caught, Rs 1.40 Lakh Fine Collected

Bhopal: Under the expert guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Devashish Tripathi and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, Bhopal Division continues its relentless efforts to provide better services to authorized passengers and boost railway revenue.

On March 11, 2025, a comprehensive “Kila Bandi” ticket checking drive was conducted at Bhopal station from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The operation, led by supervisors Arun Srivastava and Sunil Varghese, along with 20 ticket checking staff, focused on blocking all exit points of the station to ensure no passenger could leave without verification.

During this drive, tickets of passengers traveling on 19 trains were checked. A total of 105 passengers without tickets were caught, and Rs 58,990 was collected as fare/penalty. Additionally, 168 passengers traveling with improper tickets were fined Rs 78,550. Fourteen passengers were found traveling with unbooked luggage and spreading litter, and they were fined Rs 2,600.

In total, the “Kila Bandi” ticket checking operation resulted in 287 violations, collecting Rs 1,40,140 in railway revenue.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria emphasized that this drive ensures all passengers travel with valid tickets, leading to increased railway revenue, safer, cleaner travel, and better services for passengers. He urged travelers to always carry proper tickets and avoid illegal travel.
