Bhopal: The BJP RS candidate George Kurien filed his nomination in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and State BJP President VD Sharma in Bhopal on Wednesday. On reaching Bhopal on Wednesday morning, Dr. Mohan Yadav and BJP State President VD Sharma welcomed George Kurien. The CM congratulated him on being made the Rajya Sabha candidate and also became his proposer. After this, all the leaders reached the Assembly, where Kurien submitted his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha.
On this occasion, Dr. Mohan Yadav said that there is a special relationship between Kerala and Madhya Pradesh, as Adi Shankaracharya also came to Madhya Pradesh from Kerala. Now, a senior leader from Kerala George Kurien is going to become a Rajya Sabha member from Madhya Pradesh quota. It is a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh that earlier Jyotiraditya Scindia was a Rajya Sabha MP and Union Minister, and now George Kurien is going to Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh quota and is also a Union Minister. We are grateful to Prime Minister Modi that he has given one more minister in Madhya Pradesh’s quota, which will benefit Madhya Pradesh. State President VD Sharma said that it is a matter of good fortune for us that BJP’s veteran leader George Kurien has filed his nomination from Madhya Pradesh quota.
