- Letter written to CM demanding cancellation of notification

Assembly Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar has raised questions on the appointment of Lokayukta. He has written a letter to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav demanding immediate cancellation of the notification. He has also warned the government to go to court if the appointment is not cancelled.
It is noteworthy that the General Administration Department had issued orders on Saturday regarding the appointment of Justice Satyendra Kumar as Lokayukta. He will take charge in place of current Lokayukta Naresh Kumar Gupta. However, even before he took oath, controversy had arisen over his appointment. Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Umang Singhar has written a letter to the CM calling his appointment illegal.
