New Delhi, June 5 (UNI) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday said that the public opinion was decisively against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and welcomed all like-minded parties into INDI alliance who have faith in the Constitution and are committed to economic, social and political justice.
During the meeting of INDIA Bloc leaders held at his residence here, Kharge said, “The public opinion of the 18th Lok Sabha elections is decisively against Narendra Modi”.
He said that the elections were fought on Modi’s name and face and the public through this election have given a clear message to his leadership by not giving the BJP majority.
“For Modiji personally, this is not only a political defeat, but also a moral defeat. But we all know his habit and he will try his best to deny this public opinion,” the Congress President said.
Through this meeting, Kharge said that the “INDI alliance welcomes all political parties that have unwavering faith in the preamble of the Constitution of India and are committed to its objectives of economic, social and political justice”.
The Rajya Sabha MP also thanked congratulated the leaders of the coalition for contesting the election unitedly and with full strength.
Present in the meeting were Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav and Ramgopal Yadav, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, JK NC Vice President Omar Abdullah, AAP’s Sanjay Singh, Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule from NCP (SP), Sanjay Raut from SS(UBT) and Kalpana Soren and Champai Soren from JMM.
