Pune, Jan 18 (UNI) The 23rd Pune International Film Festival (PIFF), scheduled from February 13 to 20, 2025, and organised in collaboration with Pune Film Foundation, Cultural Department, Government of Maharashtra and Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari has announced the lineup of Marathi films competing in the prestigious competitive section.
PIFF Director Dr. Jabbar Patel said a total of 40 Marathi films registered their participation for this competition.
Of these, 7 films have been selected for the final competition, a release said.
An esteemed international jury will evaluate these films during the festival and the winner will be awarded the Maharashtra Government’s Sant Tukaram Best International Marathi Film prize, which includes a cash award of 5 lakh.
The award will be presented ceremoniously during the festival’s grand closing ceremony, the release added.
