New Delhi, Feb 10 (UNI) Congress members on Monday created ruckus in the Lok Sabha in protest against allegations leveled against their party, following which the proceedings of the house have been adjourned till 2 PM.
BJP member Nishikant Dubey during the Zero Hour while accusing the Congress of corruption, demanded an answer on whether USAID agency had given financial help or not to Congress and its associated establishments.
He alleged that Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Sam Pitroda of Overseas Congress and many other establishments associated with Congress have been receiving funds from this agency.
Dubey asked, “Whether USAID gave five thousand crores to George Soros’s Open Society Foundation to break India into pieces or not? Whether he gave money to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and Rajiv Gandhi Trust or not and whether he gave money to Overseas Congress president Sam Pitroda or not?”
The Congress members, meanwhile, called the allegation of BJP as “baseless” and created ruckus over the issue.
The members also wanted to raise a point of order on this issue, but Presiding Officer Sandhya Rai said that point of order cannot be raised during the Zero Hour.
The Congress members strongly protested following which the Presiding Officer adjourned the house till 2 PM.
