- “BJP’s identity: Hatred, corruption, and vendetta politics”
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJP government, declaring that Madhya Pradesh has become synonymous with corruption. Speaking at the state Congress headquarters, Patwari stated, “Search on Google for the most corrupt state, and Madhya Pradesh tops the list.”
He blamed the BJP for tarnishing the state’s image, citing scams like Vyapam, the nursing fraud, recruitment scandals, and financial misappropriations. He accused the party of creating new methods of corruption while fostering an immoral and unethical political culture.
Patwari asserted that despite Congress playing a constructive role as an opposition, the BJP-led government operates with an entirely different mindset—one of deceit and revenge. He questioned why over 300 officials facing Lokayukta corruption cases were not being acted upon.
Condemning the FIR against Congress leader Hemant Katare, Patwari called it a politically motivated move to suppress opposition voices. He revealed that even Katare’s mother and wife were targeted, exposing the BJP’s vindictive politics.
Challenging CM Mohan Yadav, Patwari warned, “If you continue with this vengeful politics, Congress leaders will rise in unison and launch a mass movement against your government.”
Congress leaders Mukesh Nayak and Hemant Katare were also present during the media briefing.
