Madhya Pradesh to Establish Madhya Pradesh Institute of Technology in Every Division

Bhopal: Under the Youth Welfare Mission, the state government is focused on not only creating job opportunities for the youth but also enhancing their skills. During his budget speech, Finance Minister Jagdish Devda revealed that, for the year 2024-25, 3,259 teachers have already been appointed at primary, secondary, and higher secondary levels, with an additional 19,362 appointments currently in process. He further announced the establishment of a Deep-Tech Research and Discovery Campus in Ujjain, in collaboration with IIT Indore. The goal is to open Madhya Pradesh Institute of Technology (MPIT) institutions, modeled after IITs, in each of the state’s divisions over the next five years. Alongside this, the state is also aiming to establish a Digital University and a National Defense University campus to further enhance education and technological innovation.

To further expand and diversify the skill development opportunities for youth in the state, the Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Skill Development Program will be launched. This initiative will serve as a state-level platform to offer training in various skills, ensuring the youth are equipped with the tools they need to thrive in today’s competitive world.

Reviving Traditional Sports with, Competitions in Every Block

To promote sports and healthy competition, Devda announced that under the CM Youth Power Scheme, at least one well-equipped, accessible stadium will be constructed in each assembly constituency, with an allocation of Rs 25 crore. Furthermore, a new initiative will be launched to promote traditional sports. The Traditional Sports Promotion Scheme will facilitate competitions in games like Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Gilli-Danda, Chess, Wrestling, Archery, Gada, Pithu, and Marbles (Kanche) in every development block across the state.

These bold initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to skill development, education, and sports. By focusing on both modern technology and traditional sports, the state aims to empower its youth and foster an environment that celebrates both innovation and cultural heritage. The vision is clear: to create opportunities, build skills, and cultivate a competitive spirit among the youth of Madhya Pradesh.
