Maha: Jyotirmath Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati meets Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai, Jul 15 (UNI) Jyotirmath Shankaracharya, Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, on Monday met Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray at his residence ‘Matoshree’ in suburban Mumbai and expressed his solidarity with the latter, saying that he is a victim of betrayal.

Swami Saraswati had turned down the invitation to the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

While talking to media after meeting Sena chief and his family members, he said, “Uddhav Thackeray has been betrayed and many people are anguished by it. I met him today as per his request and told him that people’s pain won’t subside till he becomes the chief minister again.”

He also said that recent parliament election results indicated that people of Maharashtra are with Thackeray.

He further said that Kedarnath Temple cannot be made in Delhi.

“There are defined 12 Jyotiralingas in the country. Its location is fixed. It is wrong. There was a scam of 228 kg gold in Kedarnath. Nobody is bothered about it. We are well-wishers of PM Modi,” the seer added.
