Main function on Independence Day will be held at Lal Parade Ground

  • Preparations– Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will hoist flag and address people of state

To celebrate Independence Day celebrations with joy and enthusiasm in the entire state, the General Administration Department has issued instructions regarding the organization from the state level to the village panchayat level. The state level Independence Day celebrations will be held on August 15 at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal.

On Independence Day, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will offer flowers at the Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal before 9 am. After this, at 9 am, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will hoist the flag at Lal Parade Ground and address the people of the state. A joint parade of Police, SAF, CISF, Jail Guard, Home Guard, NCC and Scout Guides will be organized at Lal Parade Ground. A guard of honor will be given to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by the joint parade. According to the instructions, the flag will be hoisted and the national anthem will be sung by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Minister, Collector at the district level. The parade will be organized by the Police, Home Guards, SAF, NCC etc. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s message to the people of the state will be read out. Rehearsals were held on Tuesday for the preparation of Independence Day.

Events at government offices and educational institutions

Flag hoisting and national anthem programs will be organized in all government offices, educational institutions at 8 am or before as per previous year. After that cultural / literary programs will be organized. Prabhat Pheri will be organized in the morning in all educational institutions keeping in mind the weather.

Government institutions will be illuminated for two days

The national flag will be hoisted by the District Panchayat President and the District President at the Janpad Panchayat headquarters and the national anthem will be sung collectively at the ceremony. In such Nagar Palika/Nagar Parishads whose headquarters are not at the block headquarters, the national flag will be hoisted by the Nagar Palika/Nagar Parishad President and the national anthem will be sung at the ceremony.
