Bhopal: On Tuesday night in Jabalpur, a major fire erupted at Amba Furniture, a showroom near Raddi Chowki, due to a short circuit. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties, despite the potential hazards posed by the incident.
The incident occurred during preparations for the upcoming festive season, exacerbating the challenges faced by the business. The showroom, located near Gohalpur’s Raddi Chowki, suffered a loss of furniture valued at approximately 10 lakh. The cause of the fire is attributed to a short circuit, considering the stocked furniture warehouse in anticipation of Diwali and Dhanteras.
Quick action by nearby showroom owners played a crucial role in preventing the fire from spreading to other establishments. Local residents also stepped in promptly, taking measures to control the fire before the municipal fire brigade arrived. Within half an hour of receiving information, the fire brigade reached the scene and efficiently brought the situation under control.
A big crowd gathered to witness the efforts to contain the fire. Further investigations will be conducted to ascertain the precise cause of the short circuit and assess the extent of the damage.
