Imphal, Apr 5 (UNI) Four militants were nabbed and arms recovered in separate incidents during the last 24 hours.
Manipur Police said on Saturday that security forces arrested an active cadre of KCP (PWG) from the Khongjom Khebaching area under Khongjom-PS, Thoubal District.
The arrested person is involved in extortion activities from the Khongjom area, Thoubal District. From his possession, one M20 pistol with one magazine and live rounds.
In follow-up action, security forces arrested another active cadre of KCP (PWG) from Khurai Kongpal Laishram Leikai. One 9 mm pistol with one magazine and six live rounds.
Police said a case of abduction of a person from Patsoi Part-4, Imphal West District, was reported.
Manipur Police conducted a cordon and search operation in the Nambol Phoijing area under Nambol-PS, Bishnupur District. During the operation, two UNLF(P) cadres involved in the abduction of the said person were arrested. The abductee was also rescued.
Arms and ammunition were also recovered in two other operations, police said.
