Many dists in MP hit by flood, situation grim in Katni

Heavy rains have thrown life out of gear in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. Flood-like conditions have been created in many areas. The worst situation is in Katni district. Everything is submerged here. The situation is such that trains have to be run on submerged tracks here and guards have been deployed to show the way to the train.

After heavy rains in Katni district of MP, water has filled the railway track at Imaliya railway gate between Sleemanabad and Dundi station along with the houses. Trains are facing difficulty in passing. Trains are being run at slow speed between Katni and Jabalpur. Bridges and culverts have been overflowing due to continuous rain in Katni district. Till now flood-like conditions have been seen in many districts, but in Katni, trains are running on submerged tracks. There is so much water all around that the tracks are not even visible.

Guards have also been deployed here to show the way so that the train does not derail. They can be seen showing the way to the train. Overall, in view of the serious situation in Katni, the government is monitoring the place 24 hours a day and the NDRF and SDRF teams are also continuously carrying out relief and rescue operations here.

Narmada level rises

Madhya Pradesh has received an average of 37 cm, i.e. 35% of the rainfall this monsoon season. Monsoon will arrive in the state on 21 June It had entered. The entire state has been getting wet for 5 days. The water level of Narmada has increased by 2 feet.

The water level in other rivers and dams is also continuously increasing. There is an alert of heavy rain in 18 districts including Bhopal, Jabalpur on Thursday. Apart from this, flood like situation has arisen in many districts of Maharashtra. NDRF has been put on alert. Schools have been closed in Pune, Thane, Raigad and Palghar. In Pune alone, 4 people have died in rain related incidents.
