Milind Mujumdar, Indore
BJP’s Central Election Committee on Thursday announced the names of candidates for 39 seats in Madhya Pradesh, including 11 seats in Malwa-Nimar, in which the BJP was defeated in the 2018 assembly elections except Jhabua. In the by-polls held a year later, the BJP was also defeated in Jhabua by a huge margin.

BJP has done a new experiment for the first time by announcing the names of the candidates three months before election, while the BJP State Election Committee has not yet been formed, till now the State Election Committee used to make a panel of two to three names and send them to the central leadership, and then from there only a single name used to be stamped, but this time the Central Election Committee has directly stamped the names, although before this, in a two-day meeting in Delhi, opinions were definitely taken from the prominent leaders of the state, these names were finalized. Along with the reports of ideological organizations, two to three rounds of surveys have also been important in giving shape, it can be understood from this kind of experiment that all the sources of MP assembly elections are completely with the Delhi leadership, and In the coming days, many more new experiments can be done in the state BJP from the point of view of elections.

It is said that BJP is preparing to declare the names of the candidates one by one in the next few days even on the seats occupied by Congress, this will give enough time to the candidates for election preparations, while the workers and voters will also be persuaded and allured. This experiment of BJP has also put pressure on Congress to announce the names of authorized candidates soon, because till now such news was coming from Congress camp only, and BJP has given a surprise. At the same time, the state leadership has also made it clear that even though there is still time for the elections, the candidates will not be changed on these seats, meaning the possible displeasure, protest and anger of other claimants has been dismissed and the message has been given that now get involved in the election campaign.
