Medicinal Garden inaugurated at SBI Learning and Development Institute

Bhopal: The medicinal garden was inaugurated today on 24 November 2023 at the State Bank of India Institute of Learning and Development under the Social Service Banking activity by Mr. Binod Kumar Mishra, Deputy Managing Director of State Bank of India Bhopal Circle. Twenty one Medicinal Plants were planted in this activity.

State Bank of India has always been in the forefront for such Initiative towards sustainability and a lot of work has been done over the years. This initiative will inspire people to move forward to speed up work in this direction. Deputy Managing Director State Bank of India, Mr. Mishra praised this work and said that our bank has been very sensitive towards its social responsibilities and has always been a leader in this field and is carrying out effective activities in the circle which has very positive impact on the society.

He reiterated SBI’s resolve to meet its ambitious sustainability target of 30 per cent carbon foot print reduction and stated that this work as a small step in this direction. He said that SBI has kept sustainability as a core value which inspires the officers and employees working in SBI. While addressing the officers of Lead Bank in the second phase of the programme, Deputy Managing Director Shri Mishra said that we have to help the most deprived person of the society by helping and providing assistance in all possible means. By following the guidelines of the government we can provide welfare to all the people of the society.

In this programme, Shri H K Soni General Manager Reserve Bank of India, Shri Pankaj Yadav General Manager NABARD emphasize on the importance of Banking sector in social uplifting of society he discussed how and up to what level we can bring change in the society by working together. DGM (Financial Inclusion) Shri Naveen Rawat, DGM (FI and RSETI) Shri Sanjay Kumar praised the work of State Bank of India Learning and Development Institute. He also inspired the lead Bank officers to take meaningful steps towards improving the society at large. The director of SBILD Shri Sanjay Kumar used this opportunity to guide LDMs to work for betterment of society. This will earn respect in society.

He gave token of appreciation to physically challenged Smt Varsha Saraogi for winning Rs 12.5 lacs in Kaun Babega Crorepati.

In this programme, magazine ‘Aviral’ editor Shri Digvijay Singh and book on settlement of deseased constituents,( compiler Shri Neeraj Yagnik) were released by dignitaries.

In this programme GM RBI Shri H Soni, GM Shri Shri Pankaj Yadav GM NABARD, Shri H Iyer Director Chetna, Shri Rawat DGM and Sanjay Kumar planted medicinal plants.

Deputy Managing Director Mr. Mishra along with Mr. Naveen Rawat, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, other senior officers and LDMs were present in today’s programme.
