Bhopal: Although a slight uptick in temperature was observed, persistent cold conditions continued to grip various regions of the state on Saturday. Simultaneously, dense fog persisted in certain parts of the state.
A yellow alert has been issued for cold day conditions and fog in various areas. Cold day conditions are anticipated in Mauganj, Chhatarpur, Niwari, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, and Morena.
Expect dense fog with visibility dropping below 50 meters in Chhatarpur, Niwari, Gwalior, Datia, and Bhind. Moderate fog is predicted in Tikamgarh, Morena, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Panna, Ashok Nagar, Shivpuri, and Sheopur Kalan.
On the temperature front, Bhopal registered a daytime temperature of 25.8 degrees Celsius and a nighttime temperature of 10.4 degrees Celsius. Indore recorded 26.8 degrees Celsius during the day and 11.4 degrees Celsius at night.
As per the meteorological department, Very Dense Fog (VDF) was reported in Bhind, Datia, Gwalior, and Niwari, while Moderate to Dense Fog (MDF) affected Morena, Tikamgarh, and Chhatarpur districts.
Shallow to Moderate Fog (SMF) was observed in Sheopur Kalan, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, North Panna, North Satna, and Mauganj districts. Gwalior Airport and Datia recorded visibility of less than 50 meters, with Khajuraho Airport at 50 meters and Nowgong and Tikamgarh showing 50-200 meters visibility.
