Bhopal: The two days of the fourteenth edition of Sagar Reunion Games 2024 Khel Mahakumbh began on Saturday at SISTec Ratibad Campus to promote fitness and health amongst Sagarites. The games are organised every year to promote sports and good health amongst Sagarites. This year Khel Mahakumbh has accorded a new dimension with Sports Authority of India (SAI) joining it to celebrate Fit India Week. Rameshwar Sharma MLA Huzur Vidhansabha and Former Protem Speaker Madhya Pradesh Assemble inaugurated the 14th edition of Sagar Reunion Games 2023 in an exciting opening ceremony by releasing balloons into the sky at SISTec Ratibad Campus. On the occasion distinguished guests Dr Sanjay Bharadwaj Cricket Coach NIS BCCI Level 3, Vishnu Sudhakaran Regional Director Sports Authority of India Bhopal, Dr Abhishek Singh Chouhan Director Sports Authority of India Bhopal, Yashpal Solanki Arjuna Awardee & High-Performance Director Judo Sports Authority of India, Yash Ganghes International Judo Player and Jatin Saxena International Cricketer along with Siddharth Agrawal Managing Director Sagar Group and Dr Jyoti Deshmukh Group Director SISTec were present during the inaugural ceremony.
SAI India pledged everyone with an oath-taking ceremony to celebrated the Fit India Week Followed by Reunion Games Oath in its true spirit of sportsmanship. Speaking on the occasion, Rameshwar Sharma said, “I am elated to be part of the Sagar Reunion Games. After Pado India, Bado India the mantra for all of us is Khelo India, Bado India and Jeeto India.”
Eleven teams of Sagar Group ventures with over 800+ participants will be participating in the Reunion Games 2024 Khel Mahakumbh and will lock horns against each other. The participating teams of Sagar Reunion Games 2024 are CO Trailblazers, SPS Saket Saviours, SNPL Rice Steamers, SMPL Super Spinners, SPS GN Gladiators, SPS RN Spartans, SPS Katara Blasters, SPS Dynamic Dashers, SISTec Super Kings, SPS Ratibad Royals and SMH Mustang. The two-day reunion will join the participants with a pledge for fitness followed by heats of matches and tournaments in exciting games of Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Tug of War along with sessions of Yoga & Meditation, Zumba, Rope Skipping etc. All teams will be competing with visitors as guests who will enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the wider community and connect to witness the inspiring collaboration between a leading corporation and a prestigious sporting institution.
The winners will be awarded trophies in a felicitation ceremony at the close of games tomorrow.
