Modern Cow Sanctuary and Research Center to be built in Guna

Guna: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia arrived in Guna late Tuesday night and met with local citizens on Wednesday morning at the Circuit House. Following this, he visited the village of Panz, near Khadeshwari Ashram, where he laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art cow shelter and sanctuary. The project, worth ?44 crore, also includes the establishment of a research center. During the ceremony, Scindia performed prayers, offered jaggery to the cows, and lighted a lamp.

The sanctuary will provide shelter for around 5,000 cows and will be developed on 140 bighas of land in Panz village, owned by the committee. The primary aim of this project is to rescue the hungry, thirsty, sick, and injured stray cows wandering the streets, providing them with a safe space and proper medical care. An advanced veterinary hospital will also be built within the sanctuary to provide sensitive treatment to these animals.

In addition, the project will focus on producing medicines from Panchgavya (a mixture derived from cows), which will be used to treat serious diseases such as cancer. Organic fertilizers, pesticides, and seed treatments will also be produced. A residential training center with a capacity for 500 trainees will be set up for research and training in cow care, Panchgavya-based medicine, and veterinary science.

Upon his arrival in Gwalior, he was warmly welcomed by the locals.

On the topic of the Waqf Bill Scindia stated that the opposition holds the ideology that Waqf property should be managed in the traditional manner by the Waqf Trustees, allowing for the misuse of land. He emphasized that Waqf land will now be used for the progress and development of society including the Muslim community.
