Mohan govt took effective steps towards de-addiction

  • It will start from major pilgrimage cities

Bhopal: On the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, the Mohan government of Madhya Pradesh took such a historic decision by holding a cabinet meeting in Ahilyabai’s city Maheshwar in Khargone district, which was appreciated all over the state. The decision was to ban liquor in 19 religious cities and gram panchayats of the state. On the same day, the Mohan government also decided that liquor ban will remain in force within a radius of 5 kilometers on both sides of the holy river Maa Narmada. This day will also be memorable in the history of Madhya Pradesh because the cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also decided to approve and implement the “Devi Ahilya Nari Shaktikaran Mission” with the aim of overall socio-economic development of women.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government took steps in the direction of de-addiction. This step will be effective in 19 urban areas and village panchayats of public faith and religious reverence.

The Chief Minister said that pilgrimages are not only religious places, they are considered to be the center of social construction. The environment there should be Satvik. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in view of the upcoming Ujjain Simhastha, we are moving fast in this direction. The government is working towards preserving heritage along with development works. Before this decision, decisions like making Krishna Patheya, speeding up the development work of Ram Path Gaman, starting preparations for the year 2028 Simhastha, banning the sale of meat in the open and limiting loudspeakers have been taken. Along with this, an initiative has been taken to add the life stories of great men in the curriculum, so that the new generation gets inspiration for determination.

This decision of the Madhya Pradesh government is towards that lifestyle of Indian cultural heritage in which vegetarianism, sattvikta and intoxication-free lifestyle are considered ideal. Meat-alcohol-free lifestyle is considered a symbol of gods and humanity.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government wants to create such an environment through faith centers, which spreads positive energy in the society. Every place has its own fundamental energy. Every place or region has its own special energy. We can understand this from the lifestyle and mentality of the residents of different parts of the earth. Indian sages selected pilgrimage sites in such places which are the center of positive energy, so that a person goes there and returns free from anger with enthusiasm, so that his actions and duties are also ideal.
