The state has received seven Krishi Karman Awards so far, which shows its strength in the agricultural sector.
Expansion of ‘White Revolution’
‘White Revolution’ is spreading rapidly in Madhya Pradesh. The state has recorded tremendous growth in milk production between 2012 and 2023. This expansion has been strengthened by schemes like the Dairy Investment Accelerator, which is encouraging the growth of the dairy industry by creating a favorable environment for investors. Madhya Pradesh is continuously strengthening its position at the national level in milk production and availability. Madhya Pradesh ranks sixth in per capita milk availability (591 grams per day). Madhya Pradesh’s growth rate is 8.60% compared to the national CAGR of 6.18%. Madhya Pradesh’s contribution to the total milk production of the country was 8.73% in the year 2023.
Promotion of MSMEs
The state government is running several incentive schemes to promote micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in food and dairy processing, including industrial development subsidy, financial assistance for patents and quality certification and exemption in electricity charges.
