MP Cloud Policy 2024 approved

  • Cabinet Decisions: Approval to implementation of Smart-PDS

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held in the Ministry under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The Council of Ministers approved the “Madhya Pradesh Cloud Policy-2024” to provide cloud services to the departments in a convenient manner. With this decision, cloud services will be provided to the departments in a centralized manner through MP State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) and budget will be provided to the Department of Science and Technology for payment of cloud services. Providing cloud services to the departments from MPSEDC will save the expenditure incurred by the departments in purchasing services directly, setting up data centers and obtaining cloud services themselves. By making this arrangement through a centralized institution (MPSEDC) in the entire state, there will be savings in total expenditure due to economy of scale and better management of cloud services.

Cloud Monitoring Unit (CMU) will be established in MP State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) of the Department of Science and Technology for the smooth operation of the processes of Cloud Adoption Framework.

Approval of Smart-PDS implementation

Smart-PDS (Scheme for Modernization) by the Council of Ministers Approval was given for the implementation of Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS) in the state. Under this, Rs 8.35 crore will be spent in 3 years under the Targeted Public Distribution System. This will resolve the difficulties related to implementation, expansion and maintenance of software application, differences in database, data recovery and cyber security. The Central Government has provided the facility of getting ration from any fair price shop in the country to eligible families through One Nation-One Ration Card.
