Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board was honored as the Best Adventure Tourism State in the National Conference of Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu handed over this honor to Dr. S.K. Srivastava, Joint Director of Tourism Board. The Best Adventure State Award is given to those states which have achieved excellence in promoting adventure tourism through infrastructure, various activities and innovations.
Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Department and Managing Director M.P. Tourism Board Shiv Shekhar Shukla expressed happiness over the award and said that under the guidance of Minister of State for Tourism Dharmendra Bhavsingh Lodhi, efforts are being made at various levels to establish the state as an adventure tourism hub. This award is not only a recognition of the unique natural wealth and diverse tourism experiences of our state, but is also the result of the continuous efforts of the state government and innovations made in the field of adventure tourism. He said that places like Satpura, Pachmarhi, Amarkantak and Narmada Valley have played an important role in promoting adventure activities. The operation of activities like skydiving, trekking, river rafting, paragliding, and jungle safari in the state has attracted youth and adventure tourists.

Dr. Mohan Yadav has congratulated the people of the state for the Adventure Tourism Award conferred on Madhya Pradesh, the heartland of India, famous for its natural beauty. CM Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as an important centre of adventure tourism. It is noteworthy that adventure tourism has enhanced significantly in Madhya Pradesh with the operation of activities like sky diving, trekking, river rafting, paragliding and jungle safari.
