MP may develop as a water sports hub

CM gives instruction; PM hails state in Mann Ki Baat

Bhopal: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in the 109th episode of his famous program Mann Ki Baat, has praised the excellent performance of Madhya Pradesh in the country’s first Multi Sport Beach Games held in Maldives.

The Prime Minister expressed happiness over the fact that such new platforms are continuously being created in India, in which players are getting a chance to showcase their potential. One such platform has been created for Beach Games which was organized in Diu.

He said that Beach Games were organized in Diu in the beginning of this year itself. This was India’s first multi-sport Beach Games, in which competitions like Tug of War, Sea Swimming, Pancake Silt, Malkhamb, Beach Volleyball, Beach Kabaddi, Beach Soccer, and Beach Boxing were held, in which every competitor got ample opportunity to showcase his talent. .

Expressing surprise at this, the Prime Minister said that “In this tournament, many players came from states which have no connection with the sea. Madhya Pradesh also won the maximum number of medals in this tournament, there are no sea beaches in MP. It is this temperament towards sports that makes any country the king of the sports world.

Immense potential of water sports in MP

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav listened to the 109th episode of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat program at Jaipur Airport today. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has given a new direction to provide new energy to the country through his “Mann Ki Baat”. Seeing the immense potential of water sports in Bhopal and other cities, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed to take necessary steps to make Madhya Pradesh a water sports hub.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Modi, by praising the people who are engaged in building the nation, inspired all Indians to contribute to the progress and development of the country. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, India is progressing at the fastest pace in every field. We are committed to taking the country to new heights under the guidance of the Prime Minister.

It is noteworthy that in Madhya Pradesh, which has given many big players to the country in kayaking-canoeing and rowing, efforts are being made to create an international hub in Bada Pond to promote water sports. After Pune, Bhopal will be the second biggest hub in the country where international competitions will be organised. Players’ boats will be able to park. Currently training takes place in two parts. Some players also have to go to Pune for preparation. They won’t have to go out. About 300 players practice in the small and big ponds. With the construction of the hub, all these will come to one place.

Water sports facilities in many other districts also

Apart from Bhopal, water sports facilities are also being developed in many other districts and cities. State level dragon boat competition has started on Gauri Sarovar pond in the center of Bhind city. The dragon boat running on water in Gauri Sarovar, a boon for Bhind, was first seen in Gauri Sarovar of Bhind about five years ago, after that training in canoe kayaking started here. Many national and international players and para-players progressed after taking training at this Gauri Sarovar.
