Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that water has always been a source of vitality and rejuvenation. He emphasized that the confluence of rivers not only enriches the land but also breathes new life into civilizations. Describing the signing of the MoA and the foundation laying ceremony of the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) project as a historic and remarkable milestone, Dr. Yadav expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ending the 20-year-long wait of both states. He likened the Prime Minister to the modern-day Bhagiratha for his visionary leadership. During his address, Prime Minister Modi affectionately referred to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav as ‘Ladla,’ highlighting the bond between the leaders.
CM Dr. Yadav said that on December 25, 2024, Prime Minister Modi will gift the Ken-Betwa river linking project to Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation of the first phase of the scheme in Khajuraho (Chhatarpur). With this, the people of the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will get irrigation and drinking water.
