MP Tankha gives Rs 10 lakh to Harda Advocates’ Assn

Bhopal: Advocate Conference was organized in Harda by Supreme Court Advocate Avni Bansal. Rajya
Sabha MP and senior Supreme Court advocate Vivek Tankha presided over the conference.

Vivek Tankha gave Rs 10 lakh to the Harda Advocates’ Association, Rs 1 lakh as aid to the families of young advocates who are no more in this world, and Rs 50,000 as a grant to the Khidkiyan Advocates’ Association for the library. Former Additional Advocate General of Madhya Pradesh Ajay Gupta,

Supreme Court Advocate and co-founder of Live Law, Advocate PV Dinesh and Supreme Court Advocate Prakhar Dixit were present as special guests in the program and expressed their views as well.

Harda’s lawyers, under the leadership of Avni Bansal, also gave a memorandum to Vivek Tankha, in
which they demanded the implementation of the Advocates’ Protection Act in Madhya Pradesh and
talked about bringing Congress in their manifesto. And it should be implemented when the government is formed and the Congress party should bring a strong Advocates Protection Act for the advocates across the state. About 400 lawyers put their signatures in this copy, who also came from Harda, Timarni, Khidkiyan and nearby areas and a copy of this memorandum was also sent to the top leadership of the Congress party.

Advocate Avni Bansal said that senior advocates of the association who have completed 50 years of
their legal practice were honored every time in the programme. The names of HN Gurjar, Narendra Kumar Khatri, Umakant Chaure, Sunil Kumar Tiwari, Subhash Pare and Ramesh Chandra Pandey were
included in this list. Along with this, lawyers and Radheshyam Temle, who have been rendering their services in the court premises for a very long time, were also honoured.

The program was conducted by Advocate Shirish Agarwal, Advocate Sukhram Bamne and Shatakshi Malviya, PhD in Political Science from Delhi University. Gratitude was expressed by Amar Yadav, President of Harda Bar Association in the program.
