Mpox patient at LNJP hospital is in stable condition: Bharadwaj

New Delhi, Sep 10 (UNI) A patient with Mpox (Monkeypox) admitted at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) hospital here is in stable condition, Delhi Health Minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said on Tuesday.

Bharadwaj conducted a surprise visit to the hospital to review the preparedness for dengue and monkeypox.

“I have made a surprise visit to LNJP hospital to review the preparedness for dengue and monkeypox. One case of monkeypox has been confirmed and the patient has a history of getting infected while travelling abroad. The patient’s condition is stable. I will also visit other hospitals and conduct surprise checks,” he said.

The Minister interacted directly with patients and their families to get firsthand information about the hospital’s facilities.

He also interacted with patients waiting for their medicines and addressed their complaints about long waiting times and incomplete prescriptions.

Bhardwaj instructed the hospital administration to ensure that all patients receive their complete medication and to streamline the process of dispensing medicines.

He also emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the hospital and interacted with the sanitation staff. Bharadwaj assured them of addressing their concerns and improving their working conditions.
