Jammu, June 23 (UNI) At least 30 shanties turned into ashes when a mysterious fire broke out nearby Jammu Tawi Railway Station here.
Police said that a mysterious fire on Sunday evening engulfed around 30 shanties at Jammu Tawi Railway Station.
The blaze, as per police, originated from the wooden shanties located at East Colony of the station and quickly spread to the nearby areas.
The fire destroyed 30 shanties to ashes, they said adding that two children trapped in the flames were successfully rescued in a prompt action.
Fire tenders along with the fire fighters were immediately pressed into the service and the flames were being doused when the last reports came in.
A case has been registered and investigations started, they said.
