Names of three villages in two dists of state changed

  • Now Kundam has become Kundeshwar Dham, Kunchi village gets name Chandangarh

Three villages in two districts of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur and Satna, have got new names. The state government has issued a notification regarding the new naming.

According to the notification, Kundam of Jabalpur district, which is called the cultural capital of the state, will now be called Kundeshwar Dham in the government records. Similarly, the name of Kunchi village of Satna district has now been changed to Chandangarh. In this sequence, the village Kundiya of Rampur Baghelan has been given a new name Karnapur. An official announcement has also been made in this regard. It should be noted that the proposal to change the name of the state capital Bhopal to Bhojpal is also pending for a long time. The proposal was sent by the Municipal Corporation Bhopal during the tenure of the then Mayor Alok Sharma. Through the state government, this proposal has reached Delhi. From where no decision has been taken on it yet.

Boundaries of districts will change

According to sources, the state government is also considering changing the boundaries of some districts. For this, an Administrative Unit Reorganization Commission will be formed soon. The boundaries of the existing districts of the state will be reviewed, after which the boundaries of new districts can also be changed. It is being told that the districts will be reorganized on the basis of geographical conditions.
