Naresh Agrawal elected President and Rajesh Soni Vice President

Shri Sarafa Association, the old and prestigious trade organization of bullion traders of the capital Bhopal, held elections on Wednesday, in which Naresh Agrawal was elected President and Rajesh Soni Rajju was elected Vice President. Akhilesh Mittal was elected Secretary, Sachin Jain Joint Secretary and Amit Bindal was elected Treasurer.

Voting took place at Gopal Dharamshala located in Chowk Bazaar and counting of votes was also done here, out of 231 voters, 222 traders voted, 9 voters could not vote. The results of the voting were declared at around 6:15 in the evening. There were two panels in the election fray, Yuva Panel and Aapki Apni Panel. It is said that the five elected office bearers are from both the panels. Issues like parking, security, high mast and Sulabh Complex dominated the elections of Sarafa Association. In the youth panel, Anil Agarwal was the candidate for the post of president, vice president Rajesh Soni Rajju, secretary Akhilesh Mittal, joint secretary Sachin Jain, treasurer Ritesh Agarwal. Sulabh Mittal, Gaurav Agarwal, Vivek Agarwal, Vijay Verma, Radheshyam Goyal, Manish Mittal, Tarun Bindal, Rishikant Agarwal, Amit Mangal, Prashant Mangal, Shailendra Soni were the candidates for the executive member.

On the other hand, in the Aapki Apni panel, Naresh Agarwal was the candidate for the post of president, Gopal Soni for vice president, secretary Rajesh Mittal, joint secretary Ajay Gup Munna, treasurer Amit Bindal. Executive members were Mukesh Kumar Soni, Jaiprakash Agarwal, Sudhanshu Gopal Agarwal, Abhishek Jain, Ajay Kumar Agarwal, Govind Agarwal, Gaurav Bansal, Sunil Soni, Rajesh Agarwal, Anoop Rajani and Rameshchandra Soni. Apart from these two panels, an independent was also in the fray for the post of executive member.

In the election, a total of 231 traders of Sarafa Bazar in the old city were eligible to cast their votes. Out of these, 222 cast their votes. They have cast a total of 16 votes at a time. These include 5 office bearers and 11 executive members. This association is an old and prestigious business organization of bullion traders of Bhopal.
