NDA govt betrayed backward, Dalit, minority: Akhilesh

Saharanpur (UP), Nov 2 (UNI) Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday alleged that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has betrayed the PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) people.

Talking to the reporters in Deoband, Akhilesh said, “Injustice is being done to the PDA people and they were being harassed under the BJP government.”

“Our alliance will defeat BJP’s NDA. We will take our alliance partners along. In all the alliances we have made till now, it has been our endeavour that no alliance partner is disappointed,” he added.

He alleged that the BJP government is harassing the opposition and SP leaders because it knows that the SP is a major big force in UP.

“The BJP government wants to suppress the voice of Mohammad Azam Khan and his family and other SP MLAs by implicating them in false cases. We have faith in the public and the court. One day we will definitely get justice. Samajwadi Party stands with Mohammad Azam Khan and his family and is providing full support,” he said.

The SP chief said that Deoband is a sacred place which has preserved its culture and traditions for centuries.

“The people of Deoband worked to give a message to the society. It is always a pleasure to come to such a holy place. Deoband has made a big contribution in the freedom struggle,” he said.

He said that the people here always helped the socialists.

“SP alliance had also won in the last Lok Sabha elections. We have full faith in our workers and leaders that they will strengthen the socialist principles and the culture and brotherhood and the SP will again achieve victory,” he said.
