Ayodhya (UP), Oct 30 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that the first Deepotsav being organised after the consecration of Ram Lalla at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi after a long wait of 500 years has drawn the attention of the whole world towards Ayodhya.
After the installation of Ram Lalla at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, a world record was created by lighting 28 lakh lamps during the Deepotsav, out of which 25 lakh lamps were lit at 55 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi.
After that, 1100 Vedic Acharyas created a new record by performing Saryu Aarti together.
While addressing the eighth edition of Deepotsav at Shri Ram Katha Park in Nayaghat, the CM said, “This is really a joyous moment for us. This is the eighth edition of Deepotsav. Eight years ago, only one slogan of saints and Ram devotees used to resonate, ‘Yogi ji, do one thing, get the temple constructed’. Due to Prime Minister Natendra Modi’s farsighted thinking, the foundation stone of Ram temple was laid on August 5, 2020.”
He said, “This year was amazing, supernatural for Ayodhya. Many people sacrificed everything for Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. Their resolve was fulfilled. Because on January 22, 2024, Shri Ram Lalla was seated in his Ayodhya Dham.”
Yogi said, “This is his first Deepotsav after Lord Ram being seated in the temple. This double engine government did what it said. Earlier, the condition of the Ghats and roads of Ayodhya was bad. From this very platform, PM Modi and I had said that we will make Ayodhya the most beautiful city. That work is being completed.”
He said that Ayodhya is moving towards becoming the most beautiful city in the world.
“Many schemes are going on here. We all saw the scene of January 22 and 23 with our own eyes. During that time, everyone was emotional after seeing Shri Ram Lalla seated in the grand Ram temple. This changed form of Ayodhya is attracting the whole world towards it,” he said.
The CM said that Ayodhya has been made the country’s first solar city.
“Ayodhya was freed from the curse by the grace of PM Modi,” he said.
Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that Diwali was celebrated to celebrate the return of Shri Ram to Ayodhya after the victory over Lanka.
“Ayodhya’s Deepawali became more relevant because after 496 years, Shri Ram Lalla was seated in his new temple,” he said.
He said that under the leadership of Yogi, UP has written a new script along with discipline and good governance.
“Under the leadership of the CM a new record was created by lighting 28 lakh lamps in Ayodhya city on Deepotsav. The saint tradition kept the eternal tradition of India intact. With the grand Ram temple, the sun of India’s good fortune has risen again. At the same time, it is also moving towards becoming developed. India will be established as the world leader once again,” he said.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that after 500 years, Shri Ram Lalla was seated in his grand and new temple.
“This time’s Deepotsav is more important. Because this is the first Deepotsav of Ram Lalla after being seated in the grand temple. Ayodhya is developing in all directions under the leadership of
CM Yogi,” he said.
Earlier, Lord Shri Ram, Sita and Ayodhya arrived in Ayodhya city by Pushpak Viman. Yogi performed the coronation of Shri Ram and his aarti. After that, saints, CM and other guests were welcomed by draping them with Angavastra.
The CM inaugurated the tourism mobile app of UP and released the book ‘Ram in the heart’ of Ayodhya Mayor.
Many tableaux were taken out on the theme of Shri Ram from Saket Mahavidyalaya to Nayaghat. The CM also inspected the tableaux.
